Potatoes are one of the most commonly consumed foods on a daily basis. Their wide range of possibilities when it comes to cooking make them the perfect choice for most situations. Stewed or as an accompaniment to a main dish, as an appetiser or even mashed, this vegetable can be prepared in many different ways.
This ingredient is suitable for both the oven and the frying pan, and can even be cooked in a pot. The only drawback is the time it takes to prepare them and the complex work involved in the culinary world.
For this very reason, gastronomy expert María Pérez Espín has highlighted the perfect way to save time when cooking these potatoes. She has done so in a video on the social network TikTok, in which she shows step by step how to carry out this easy and simple trick.
What is the food expert’s trick?
It usually takes between 25 and 35 minutes to bake a tray of potatoes in the oven, depending on their size and the temperature of the appliance.
In a frying pan, it can take up to 15 minutes, almost the same as in a saucepan. When you’re in a hurry, the expert has mentioned the perfect way to enjoy the flavour of these vegetables. Pérez Espín has mentioned that in just five minutes, the recipe can be ready to enjoy.
The key is in the appliance you use, as this trick requires a microwave oven in which to cook the potato.
