They even had to call another vehicle to transfer the passengers and take them to Ortigueira. Renfe passengers on regular routes are not the only ones affected by the multiple train breakdowns. On Thursday, passengers on the Costa Verde Express, one of Renfe’s luxury tourist trains, were stranded between Viveiro and Ortigueira due to a technical incident on the train.
According to Renfe sources consulted by Europa Press, the incident occurred at around 7:30 a.m. on Thursday when the train was covering the Viveiro-Ferrol section of the route.
Another vehicle was mobilised to transfer the passengers and take them to Ortigueira, from where they were transferred by road to Santiago, the end of the tourist train’s route.
