The price of fuel is one of the main factors affecting drivers. Driving and saving fuel is also a challenge, but there are ways to do it efficiently.

One of them is a home remedy, very simple but also very unusual, which you can try if you don’t have anyone in the passenger seat.

It involves placing a wide container, such as a basin or bowl filled with water, on the seat. The challenge is to drive while trying not to spill any of the water in the container.

If you accelerate or brake suddenly, the water will spill over and wet the seat, so avoiding spillage means you are driving efficiently and saving fuel.

Other tips for saving petrol include keeping your car in the garage during the hottest times of the year, as you won’t need to turn the air conditioning up to the maximum when you set off.

Another recommendation is to try to reduce the weight of the car, so if you have a boot full of junk, it is advisable to empty it to lighten the vehicle and thus consume less fuel.
